Case Project Challenges
LLDS and Ashley Construction working together, present this custom ranch style house plan on a lot with beautiful pine forest in the background giving it that intimate and cozy Northwoods feel.
The challenge of this design/build project was to bring together the somewhat modest ranch home with it’s open design concept with country charm with a dab of rustic while including many windows to take advantage of the natural lighting and the beautiful outdoor scenery.
The design/build team spent time working out the flow and added amenities custom built into this home drafted by LLDS. The final result is a beautiful example of simple yet elegant country living where anyone can raise a family or simply retire.
Drafting Process
The drafting/design process involved taking country and rustic home concepts and implementing them into a simplified, open-concept floor plan. With LLDS’s vision for the design mapped out on detailed blueprints, the builder took simple concepts and made them extraordinary. With a few redrafting efforts the entire project was completed in an efficient amount of time.
Finished Results
The details of this simple ranch home delight the eye and give it great curb appeal. The craftsman theme along with the use of natural products in the covered porch and stone pillars turns a simple design into a warm and inviting home. That same craftsman theme is carried into the house through the front doorway and into the spacious open concept of the home’s interior. The floor plan maximizes efficiency of space in this 3-bedroom, 2 bathroom main level house plan.
The use of hardwoods for flooring, the complimenting kitchen island, cooking hood, and interior doors that are naturally stained add interest, contrast, and texture while complimenting the white painted cabinetry and trim throughout the home.
